SKILCRAFT ® Pens

A diverse line of SKILCRAFT ® Pens are available from Document Imaging Dimensions, Inc.  These one-of-kind pens have been purchased by federal agencies and military customers since April 20th 1968, when the original SKILCRAFT ® U.S. Government pen was born.

For over 50 years skilled blind workers have been entrusted to make the SKILCRAFT ® Pens.  Among the requirements laid out for the U.S. Government Pen includes the ability to write a continuous line for one mile and for the ink to flow despite extreme temperatures that range from 40 degrees below zero to 160 degrees.

The SKILCRAFT ® Pens are well known among federal, military, and government agencies. If you ever address a letter at the Post Office, check to see if they use SKILCRAFT ® Pens—each pen has “U.S. Government” inscribed along its barrel.

SKILCRAFT ® Pens are part of the AbilityOne ® program from National Industries for the Blind ( NIB ). The first products manufactured under this program were mops and brooms for cleaning—these products along with many more manufactured by AbilityOne ® are all available from Document Imaging Dimensions, Inc. We are proud to be named an “Outstanding AbilityOne Distributor” for many years, most recently in 2018.
